Authors Polly Samson, Anthony Quinn and Daisy Goodwin discuss
Daphne du Maurier’s haunting short story collection The Doll.

Polly Samson is the author of two collections of short stories, Lying In Bed and Perfect Lives, as well as the novel Out of the Picture. Her stories have been published by numerous magazines and have been broadcast on BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio Scotland. Samson wrote the introduction to The Doll.

Anthony Quinn has been the film critic for the Independent since 1998. His debut novel, The Rescue Man, won the Author’s Club Best First Novel Award in 2010. He published his second novel, Half of the Human Race, in 2011. Quinn’s latest book, The Streets, will be published by Jonathan Cape later this year.

**

Daisy Goodwin is a television producer and presenter. She is the author of My Last Duchess, and the memoir Silver River. She has edited several poetry anthologies, including the bestseller 101 Poems That Could Save Your Life. In 2005, Goodwin formed her own production company, Silver River Productions.
