Unlocking Your Creativity: Short Courses for Beginners – London (Waterloo)
This 4 week workshop (attendance 1 night a week or during the day on the weekend) provides beginners of creative writing the opportunity to experiment with different styles and to sample a myriad of subject matter. The course looks to harness personal experiences and identify creative stimuli to help writers produce theatrical pieces, short stories and improve their technical skills. Each workshop begins with a short presentation that drives the focus of a particular subject discussion. This is followed by a series of creative writing exercises and the opportunity to read out your own work. Attendance is 11-1; cost: £85 (Payment by installment possible)

Working Words: Six Week Creative Writing Course – Leeds
Becky Cherriman will guide this workshop, leading a group of writers through The Tetley. Using the furniture, architecture and artifacts as stimulus, attendants will investigate a hidden history, a mysterious past behind this historic building; this venture will help spur creative thoughts.

A mixture of creative and technical workshops, this evening course conducted on Wednesdays at the Free Word Centre gives writers the chance to write, develop and receive feedback on short story fiction.
