An Interview with Dorthe Nors

Acclaimed author Dorthe Nors was born in 1970 and has published, internationally, three novels, two novellas, and a short story collection, all originally written in Danish. Her debut short story collection, Kantslag (Karate Chop), was translated into English in 2012, and published in the UK in 2015. She was the first Dane ever to be published by The New Yorker, and in 2014 received the Per Olov Enquist Literary Prize for her writing. Nors’ essays have appeared on BBC Radio 4,  and in the Guardian, Vi läser, Electric Literature and A Public Space, amongst others. She lives in Denmark, in a small village by the North Sea.
